I have also learned that everyone has something they are specifically good at. Those things may be drawing, singing, debating, or solving ridiculously hard math problems. I found that I am good at listening to what people have to say as well as learning different languages. I have an affinity for languages that are deemed as difficult. For example I have been learning Mandarin Chinese and find it one of the easiest languages one can learn, BUT if you look up the hardest languages in he world, Chinese has a pretty high ranking. Learning what you are good at and accepting it is what makes one happy. If yo are constantly comparing yourself to other people then you will never be happy. Finding what you are good at solves that problem because you will be able to say to yourself: “Hey that person is pretty darn good at X but I know I would be able to do Y.” Even if that person is good at what you are good at, i believe it makes not difference because everyone has their own version of doing things that they are good at. For example. I have two friends in college that are wonderful at singing but they do it two completely different ways. One has a soulful flare to her voice that reminds you of a gospel choir, while the other has a softer voice that would calm the harshest rainstorm down. Being in college has allowed me to see this!
Another thing college has made me realize is that you cannot be too modest. Those that show off what they can do are the ones that get the chances in life because they pull the attention to them. If you are too modest or shy to show what you are good at then no one will hear you. Obviously showing what is special about you can cause hate but you cannot have goods without the bads; it balances everything out.
I have been through some emotional trials here in college but I know that something good is waiting for me around the corner; just have to wait out the storm. Taking everything I learned so far, I hope that the spring semester will be a much more enjoyable ride than the fall semester.
That is all I have to say for now about my college life as far as things that I have learned. bye bye <3

Hello everyone. I am going to get right into blogging and start with something near and dear to me: skincare. Before I can even remember I have always suffered with skincare. I have terrible acne and am on a journey to obtain awesome skin! I have combination oily skin meaning without moisturizer I have an oily T-zone which is the forehead and the nose area and a normal cheek area meaning it is not dry nor is it oily; comfortable. I breakout from stress and my monthly period. My breakouts tend to be on my forehead and jawline. Lately my skin is in a much better condition than it was about 2 years ago to to some of the products I have been using. With some fine tuning to my skin care regimen I should obtain my goal of awesome skin!!! Currently I have scarring on my jawline and forehead as well as a couple of pimples, most likely due to stress BUT I will take care of that. Allow me to show you my skin care!
I bought this cleanser on amazon for about 44$. It was not cheap but has been working pretty well for my skin. It does not contain salicylic acid ; instead it contains all natural products such Sambuscus extract, ivy and lemon extract, as well as Kaolin and Green clays which are used to sooth irritation as well as control oil production. These natural products also refresh the skin and brighten skin tone due to the menthol and cucumber that is in this cleaner. I really love this cleanser and would recommend it to those that have the same skin type as I do.
When I apply this to my face it feels like a cream that is not too think but not watery either. It smells like the earth and tingles when I wash with it; most likely due to the menthol.
This is what the cleanser looks like on the skin:
This is also an all natural cleanser that I use as a scrub. It cleans the face while exfoliating. There are small abrasion pearls that I believe to be the nutrient for the skin. The peals really do their job in exfoliating, just be sure not to scrub too hard because scrubbing too hard causes skin irritation which then causes more breakouts. This scrub contains aloe, fruit enzymes, coconut oil, and many other natural ingredients that sooth the skin while exfoliating. I purchased this from the Whole Foods market for about 10-15$.
This is what the scrub looks like:
I only use this cleanser in the winter because it really hydrates the skin. In my opinion it is a great cleanser for dry skin rather than oily on a daily basis use. This product has a thick and creamy texture and smells like various flowers. This product contains all natural ingredients such as aloe, plant emollients such as lavender, flax oil, and Kombucha which hydrate the skin. This product was also purchased from Whole Foods, but I cannot remember the price.
This is what the product looks like:
Toner and Facial Enhancements
I love this toner with all of my heart. I use it as a toner and moisturizer as well as a prep for my mask. It smells like oranges (my favorite smell in the WORLD!) and gives the face some much needed juice without making it dry later on or too oily. The vitamin C is great for anti-aging as well as creating an even tone. This toner also helps with balancing my skin tone. I notice that when I use this toner during a breakout I do not scar as intensely as I did before the usage of this toner. I bought this from the Whole Foods market for about 10$. Whole Foods is known for their organic products for a reasonable price so I recommend going there not only for food but for skin care.Your skin will be hydrated the entire day with this product.
This product is used as an intense spot treatment when I have a pimple that just will not go away. I have been using this product for about a month and have seen some difference in my acne but not as much as I would like; most likely due to the salicylic acid that is in this product. Salicylic acid responds well to normal pimples that I get here and there but does not work well it pimples I get from my period. I have no idea why but if your skin responds well to this acid then you should get this for serious breakouts. This product would help you reduce the size of the pimples during your breakout. This was purchased from Whole Foods for 17$.
This gel works better than the Alba Dote product most likely due to the lack of salicylic acid. This product is all natural and really helps with reducing the size of my pimples. This includes aloe and fruit extracts that reduce the size of pimples as well as hydrate the skin. I would recommend this product to those with oily combination skin like me.
This mask is wonderful for brightening my complexion as well as deep cleaning, but I do not see a great difference in the severity of my acne. Perhaps it may work for those that have acne that is not based on hormonal shifts in the body when under stress or on their period. I purchased this item from amazon for 20$. This product smells like mint and tingles when I put it on my face. I feel refreshed once I wash it off, as if my skin is really clean.
Future plans for my skin!!—-> I hope you all enjoyed my little skincare review. I hope to find the perfect skin care routine for awesome skin! I plan to explore Korean skincare seeing as though it is the best in the world.
